Running

Running is a great way to lose weight, think better and faster, relax, and build discipline. It's also by far one of the cheapest ways. The most expensive tool you need is a good pair of running shoes. My Nikes cost about $100 and their comfort and light weight were well worth it. You may also need a towel to wipe your face if you find your eyes burning and some juice, preferably with electrolytes, if you find your energy waning half way through a run.
Read While Walking

Ever since I decided that cars, for the most part, aren't worth it at my present income level, I've been walking a lot more. I walk to and from work each day. That's 40 minutes. I walk to the grocery store once a week. That's another 40 minutes. And finally I go for a run on the weekends with my friend. That's at least an hour, but it's the most fun of all! While keeping our minds busy while we're talking with our friends isn't much of a problem, there can be so much wasted time in a day when we focus on only one thing without giving ourselves credit for being able to do more. That's why I started reading books while walking to and from work. Yes, I read while walking!
